Are you pregnant? If you and your partner have been trying to have a baby, this question is obvious after sharing the most intimate moments with your lover. It is not necessary that every time you have an unprotected intercourse, you may conceive. Pregnancy in the early stages is not very easy to detect. This requires analysis of a series of conditions to ensure that you are really holding an unborn in your womb. Wondering how would you know? Here are certain signs that would help you determine:

Temporary halt in the menstrual cycle: When an egg inside a woman’s uterus is fertilized, the fallopian tubes stop the production of more eggs and function to nourish the fetus. Since no new egg is produced, thus, none is disintegrated and hence, there is no menstrual flow expected. A missed out period may be considered as one of the positive signs of pregnancy.

Implantation Bleeding: This sort of bleeding is generally arises when the growing fetus enters into the uterine walls. There is a slight pink or brown spot that it leaves. This sign is noticed within 6 to 14 days of conception. However, in some women, this bleeding may be slightly more and extends for one or two days. Some women confuse this with menstrual flow. If this bleeding extends for long when you are expecting while all other symptoms are noticeable, there may be chances of miscarriage.

Nausea or Morning Sickness: A nauseating feeling is one of the earliest signs of pregnancy. Soon after you conceive, you may gain some feeling of vomiting which in the reference to pregnancy may be referred to as morning sickness. However, it is not necessary that every pregnant woman has such feeling but most of them do.

Frequent Nature Calls: In the early stages of pregnancy, the size of uterus expands and imposes pressure on bladder which raises the need to urinate. This is why women usually have to rush to the washroom many number of times.

Abdominal Cramps: At the time of embryo implantation, it is expected for the walls of the uterus to expand thereby appearing as vibrations in the abdominal section. These cramps are also accompanied with pain that arises due to certain gastric problems.

Fatigue and changes in appetite: Tiredness is one of the major signs of early pregnancy. Women also tend to notice pain in the lower back and legs during the early stages. Loss of appetite is another symptom. In most of the cases, the food cravings are intense while some women lose their appetite.

Areolas begin to darken: When you conceive a baby, your body tends to prepare every organ for fulfilling the needs of the growing embryo in your womb. In this process, the areolas begin to darken while the breasts become tended day by day. The production of breast milk starts at a somewhat later stage but a slight tenderness is an early sign.

The above signs can help detect pregnancy at an early stage. A home pregnancy test may also seem to offer a helping hand. If you are still unsure and notice results that depict uncertainty, it is better to go for the doctor’s advice. The urine and blood tests are usually used by doctors to detect pregnancy at an early stage. The presence and the level of hCG in the urine and blood are the major determining factors.
